About Gut Healing with Diane

Gut Healing with Diane is my passion project to provide insightful information about food intolerances. Imagine the healing if everyone eliminated their intolerant foods and adopted lifestyle recommendations of naturopathic doctors. I have these goals:

  1. Advocate for The Carroll Food Intolerance Method®.
  2. Share my favorite experts who heal with food and exercise.
  3. Support Naturopathic Medicine Institute and Virginia Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
  4. Change the FDA ruling, to allow naturopathic doctors (NDs) to advertise The Carroll Food Intolerance Method.
  5. Support freedom of speech everywhere. Our best doctors should not be silenced.

I share a message of hope – healing is possible. First, each person is unique. There is no one perfect solution or diet. Start by working with a Carroll Method ND and identify your food intolerances. Then adapt the recommended lifestyle changes. This is the path to gut healing, true health, and vitality.

About Me

I’m Diane Murray from Montpelier, Virginia. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 1983 with a civil engineering degree. After a 33-year management career with CSXT, I’m enjoying retirement.

I’m a long way from having a perfect diet (whatever that is) or following all the expert advice. In fact, I’ve never dieted, I eliminate foods that don’t work for me. I found vitality by eating and exercising right for my body.

I get annual physical exams. My MD recommends her patients with allergy and stomach issues to see local naturopath who practices the Carroll Method. Most importantly, I see my naturopathic doctor. They have the best advice for health.

I’m giving back by sharing my story, a decade’s worth of experience and research.

Dedicated to My Mom

Marie Chenault 1931 - 2010

I dedicate this web to my mom, Marie Chenault, who dedicated her life to nursing. She earned her registered nurse degree from the C&O Nursing School and worked at the C&O Hospital for over 40 years.

She had many known food allergies: chicken, fish, shellfish, and even more unknown food intolerances. After bathroom trips, I recall her saying “I don’t know what is wrong with me.” She searched for answers to her health issues but she never found real solutions. Her love for healing inspires me to share my story.

Many Thanks

I’m so thankful to my husband, Allen Murray. We’ve been married since 1985 and have one son Henry. Allen supported me through all of these changes, readily adapting meals to these dietary restrictions. We are all healthier.

I appreciate all my friends and family who share their stories, adapt their meals, and indulge me in sharing mine.
